Helping young professionals take their financial power back.

After a few years of working in finance, I noticed my friends, family, and colleagues were all approaching me with questions about common personal finance concepts. Whether it be how to open a 401k, create  a budget, and even which accounts types to open - I became their go-to resource to learn more about financial practices. I realized that something I had always been so passionate about was also something that so many people struggled to figure out and apply within their own lives. This is where Break Your Budget was born.

I started Break Your Budget as a spending diary - a way to hold myself accountable to my financial goals while simultaneously showcasing the day-to-day financial decisions I was making as a young professional.

Ultimately, Break Your Budget blossomed into so much more than that. It became a platform to teach, help, and inspire others - just like myself, my friends, and my colleagues - how to navigate that ~weird~ time after college where you're still figuring out how to manage a salary in a way that allows you to live your life and reach your goals.

A few years later, Break Your Budget has ballooned into a community of over 1 million people across the globe looking to manage their money, find happiness in their careers, and take their financial power back. The best part?

We're just getting started.
